Sara Franceschi is Senior Researcher at the Department of Economics and Statistics and in 2014 she obtained the National Scientific Qualification (ASN) as Associate Professor of Statistics from Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR).
Currently her main research interests are in design-based inference, and, in particular, in design-based inference for estimating richness, abundances and biodiversity indexes of environmental population, in non-response treatment, in multi-stage and multi-phase designs, in design-based mapping for continuous populations, spatial finite populations, and points populations.
